(2.4.2 + 2.4.3beta)Error: "Malformed token: achievement, near line: 1" (using Ubuntu Mate)

Hello,

i receive an error at my ironman-mode game, which crashes the game. It occurs every time (not at a specific date but in a range of 1-2 weeks) and it doesn't look like i can trigger it with a action in the game. Even when i do nothing and only let the time pass the error occurs.

The error log contains:
[savegamehelper.cpp:271]: Error: "Malformed token: achievement, near line: 1
Malformed token: =, near line: 1
Malformed token: {, near line: 1
" in file: "save games/Ironman_Vestisland.ck2" near line: 1

I using the current Ubuntu Mate no Crusader Kings 2 mod except the original DLCs and my other "non ironman" savegames works.

Hopefully there is a way to rescue this save, because this would be the second ironman savegame in a row i lose after playing many hours...

Edit: The Forumsoftware doesn't allow me to attach the Savegame itself at this post. If the file is necessary for a solution, i can upload it on a site outside the paradox forum. Or someone explains me how to make the file compatible for this forum^^

Those errors look like a corrupted game file, I have to say.

By all means post a link here to the save file, but if it has that same error here, there's not much we can do about it - Ironman save files are encrypted and can't be edited.

I have the same error with my Ironman savegame. It crashes everytime when the game tries to save.

I am using Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS 64bit and CK version 2.4.2 with no mods and a lot of DLCs but not Horse Lords.

I ran that game for more than a year under 2.4.3 beta, with no problem. This is on a Mac.

So try that beta, if you still have the problem it's local to you; we'd probably want to do a full clean reinstall at that point.

Exactly the same outcome as above, no problem evident here under 2.4.3.

Thanks Mr. AndrewT for your fast reply and the recommended solution methods.

Sadly neither the beta patch alone nor a reinstall (with additional deleting every ck2 related folder and file i could find and using the beta patch) solve the Problem.
The game crashes still around the 10th of November and with the same lines in the error.log.

The 2.4.3 patch did not help for me. I have also tried chyrasor's save game and it crashes after some days. My save game didn't work either.
Both games aren't working on another laptop (Also Ubuntu 14.04.2 64bit).

Ok I have found a "solution". I loaded both savegames in Windows 8.1 64bit and I could play without crashing, after I moved these new saves to Ubuntu they seem to work.

Hi Mr. tantonys. Thanks for your solution.
This works also with a ck2 in wine (i tried it after seeing your post) but after this workaround my savegame gets a "corrupted" tag and is no longer in ironman mode...

OK, it looks like we have a Linux-only bug, quite rare. I'll move you to Bug Reports where QA can log a bug report for you.
