My vassal had declared a war against the ruler of Khazaria (who controlled the duchy of Syr Dayra at the time) for a county outside of the duchy of Syr Darya. Khazaria had built a temple in the county of Syr Darya since it is a Tengri holy site. I declared a separate war for the subordination of Syr Darya duchy. My vassal occupied the temple in the county of Syr Darya. I won my war first and peaced out. I received the other counties in the Duchy except the county of Syr Darya and I received the temple built in that county.
I later declared another war against the ruler of Khazaria for the county of Syr Darya but my armies are unable to occupy it. Because I am unable to occupy the county, I cannot earn enough war score to win the war.
