[2.4.1] Splitting Own Tribe Grants Independence

I was playing as the Bozok tribe, vassal of the Yagbuids. After gaining independence I had too much land (aka no other tribes) so had to split my own tribe. I split off Usturt but it immediately became an independent Khaganate instead of a subject Khanate as I'm sure is intended. The steppes (get it?) needed to repeat this are:

-Play as Bozok.
-Win war against Yagbuid with 'Independence' casus belli.
-Go to clans tribe and split Usturt from Bozok.
-Watch as Usturt becomes independent, leaving you smaller but still having the 'clans demand more land' warning.

I believe that this may be caused by the fact that it takes a daily tick after gaining independence for you to actually gain a proper Empire-tier title. Could you confirm that this is the case, and otherwise what your circumstances look like?

You're right. Did a re-run and it is the tick that was the problem, so this would only be a minor bug.

I'm still getting used to the new rank-borders for characters so didn't realise I was only a king, and the potential for a clan rising terrified me a little.

There's no problem if you wait til your portrait border gets bejewled. It would be nice if the change could be made more immediate to avoid similar cockups, but I imagine it is a rare problem seeing as it requires the right combination of panic pausing and swift action to come about.

We've fixed so that the empire-level title will be awarded directly on independence for an upcoming patch. Hopefully that should prevent situations like these to spring up again!
