Playing as the Mongol Khan in the 769 start, I managed to remove myself from tributary status, and then broke truce to take the Khangai region using a subordination casus belli. I won the war and the Uyghur moved their capital to Ikh Bogd.

However, shortly after this (thanks to them helpfully sending a missionary to convert me), I noticed that an additional new Khaganate had formed in the same province as the Uyghur moved their capital to - Khanagate of Lowborn. It appeared in the second holding slot, appears to be totally independent and unrelated to the other nomads.

So steps were:

1. Declared war to remove myself from tributary status.
2. Broke truce, declared war of subordination, which I won.
3. Their capital moved to Ikh Bogd.
4. I moved my capital to their former capital location - Baygal.

Somewhere along the line in those steps, the Khaganate of Lowborn appeared.

Thanks

This issue is related to the 'No Nomad Capital' bug listed in the known issues post, we're looking into fixing this issue for the 2.4.2 patch!

Thanks for the report.

Thanks for your reply. In this instance, it seems impossible to get rid of the holding. I've taken the province, and there doesn't seem to be any way that I can declare war and remove the bugged nomad capital. It doesn't disappear after reloading the game either. This is problematic as it appears the province counts against clan sentiment, and there's no way I can remove it.

My game is ironman so I can't edit it. Is the patch likely to fix the issue (i.e. clean up any remaining dodgy holdings), or is this a game I'll have to abandon?

Thank you.

my guess, give up this iron man Khan game... and let's wait for 2.4.2 and later patches to start over
