[2.4.1] Joining a guy in a war against his vassal make me hostile towards him.

When I asked a relative to join him in a war against a rebellious vassal I became hostile to him despite being shown as an ally in the war screen. Looking at my character screen it say I'm hostile towards him because "I'm at war with one of his vassals". Also, said message appears twice for some reason.

Do you have a link to the savegame where this occurs? Would be really helpful in tracking the issue down.

How did you link a savegame again?

Upload it to a file sharing service (like dropbox, mediafire, etc.) and link to the uploaded file here.

Your savegame file, a .CK2 file in Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II/save games/

If it is a non-compressed non-Ironman file (i.e., if you load it into a text editor it isn't gibberish) you should compress it first.

How do I compress the save files?

Assuming you're on Windows and have not installed an archive utilities, open the folder, highlight the save, right click->Send to->Compressed (zipped) folder

I sent it to Compressed (zipped) folder, but it still isn't gibberish.

It's fine. Windows Explorer knows how to let Notepad view the compessed file, provided the filetype is zip.

How can I see if the filetype is zip?

The icon for the file will appear as a folder with a zipper going up it. You can also go to your view options in Windows Explorer and check File Name Extensions.
