[2.4.1] "Initializing game... Adapting history..." *Silence* CTD

CPU - Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4Ghz
RAM - 16GB Corsair
GPU - GeForce GTX 570
OS - Windows ultimate, 64-bit

No matter which timeline nor nation I pick, with or without the Horse Lords DLC enabled, I get a CTD when the game is loading my chosen leader. It goes through the "Initializing game" then "Adapting history" and then just before it's suppose to start it freezes, and crashes without any window about crashing or anything special. I've tried reinstalling the game, verifying integrity, restarting my rig, but it doesn't seem to work.

Edit: Worth mentioning maybe, I do own Horse Lords DLC, but not the Horse Lords content pack DLC. I have all but Sunset Invasion and The Republic DLC's enabled. And no, I'm not using mods.

Edit2: It seems to be working on my macbook pro.

Seems to be a technical issue on your end. Try a clean reinstall of the game, if that doesn't work you can try the Technical Support forum for more help!

Solved! It seems like I had Arumbas keyboard shortcut key "mod" in my mod documents, so people make sure to make a 100% fresh reinstall when doing it!

You can find the potentially conflicting files in "Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II"
