[2.3] "seeing my lover behind my wife's back" events despite my wife being my lover

I keep getting these events. My current ruler's wife has been his only lover and she became his lover after succession. Despite this, I keep receiving events that suggest that he is having an adulterous affair. I have repeatedly checked the relations tab and his wife is his only lover. This is extremely frustrating and needs to be fixed!

I had the same issue. I had the same problem. It wasn't so bad for me because i died quickly after but i would hate for that to happen again.
Hope someone will fix it.

I've also run into trying to seduce someone, looking for a "friend" to help me, and the friend turns out to be my wife. And her opinion of me isn't affected.

I guess we can all only hope to have wives like that.

I had the same issue with my wife/lover growing to hate me for sleeping with my lover. In my case it happened after my wife inherited a title, and I assumed that that was the reason.

This seems like it would have been easy to fix pre-release of the DLC
if lover == wife:
trigger a new event for loverwife(IE an event that would make sense compared to this event triggering)
else:
trigger normal lover event chains

I'm really frustrated that they haven't fixed this. My playthroughs are on park until this gets resolved. I'm not buying WoL either until someone gives some attention to this issue.

My wife is also upset because of my "adultery" . . . with my concubine. She even confronted me and asked if I was having an affair with my concubine. :huh: I lied and told her I wasn't, but for some reason she won't believe me. We were all saxon reformed germanic pagans btw, if it matters.

Quite a serious bug for me, not only is my current ruler stressed because of this is Heir just died because this event caused stressed -> ill -> Pneumonia -> death

The 2.3 version of the game is unplayable and this particular bug is not the only reason why that is true. Continuing to play a 2.3 game (or starting a new one) is foolish at this point.

Happened to me too. My wife was my lover, then became a rival, and later on I had the event to choose between my lover (wife) or wife (wife). Screenshot that show the Relationship tab:

That's hardly relevant to this thread is it? There's plenty of whining opportunities in the general forum that won't clutter up the bug (fixing) forum. What's the point in making bug reports harder to read?

I think the intent was to warn users as to the poor quality of this patch so as to avoid investing many hours on a 2.3 game that is hopelessly damaged by inappropriately triggered traits, AI that can't declare wars, etc. But if you want to call that whining, go right ahead.

And you would "warn" users of this in an obscure thread about an obscure bug in the bug forum? I think you are giving a wee bit too much credit where none is due.

This is definitely still a problem in 2.3.2 (MMUR). I have seen this multiple times this evening.
