[2.3] Pagan Marriages and Betrothals

I'm playing a Zunist (Afghanistan) and while I can arrange Marriages with Tengri rulers I can't arrange Betrothals due to "can't marry infidel".

Wierd, do you have a save game available where there are 2 characters that you can arrange a marriage between (cross-religion as you describe)?

Just tried to arrange a marriage between Zunist & Tengri, and here I get the expected result: "Must not marry an infidel"

I think I figured it out. You get "Must not marry an infidel" only when you try to marry into the ruler's immediate family - however, what I've been doing is marrying the heir's children - that is allowed (WAD?). Betrothals will be accepted as marriage as well even if the heir has become the new ruler. As Zuni, I've been creating alliances this way with the Tengri lords to the North. They are both Pagan - should this not be allowed in all cases anyway?

Zunist are in the Pagan religious group no? It should have a penalty to interfaith marriages with other pagan types but it shouldn't be refused outright. He should be able to marry and betroth across the faith like that, it should just be difficult.
