[2.3] Cannot fulfill bethrothal of newly-legitimized bastard

So my character has a bastard, that he betrothed to a kinswoman matrilineally. But things changed and he had to legitimize the bastard. When they both came of age, I tried to marry them but he refused because "it didn't match the betrothal", which is obviously false. Had to break off the betrothal for them to marryé
