[2.3 BTOF] always CTD on reload

So you did invent "ironman" for all of those who do not ever want to reload a game. For me though it happens I make something really stupid and then do Resign - Load game - when the game starts loading, it ALWAYS CTD. It has nothing to do with the save file, it is 100% mandatory for ANY save file. after CTD restarting the game it loads fine.

bump. really cannot see any further info to provide here. does this happen to everyone? just save, resign and load game again.

Yes, I find this extremely annoying, too.

Every time I want to load an old save, I have to close and reopen CK2.

I have the same issue. It can also be repeated by selecting 'load game' loading a game and then loading a different game without actually playing the first game. As soon as you try to play the second load, it crashes, even if you haven't previously played.

I'm sorry, atm i cant seem to reproduce it. I have tired with several new and pre 2.3 ironman saves. Sense you say it happens 100% of all saves could you give us some more info, such as what system you using, windows mac linux, if you are using any mods at all?

We have encounters this issue a few times but never found a good repro case, if you got a save that might help as well to finally find the nail so we can put it in the coffin.

First I have to correct myself, my very last save does not seem to trigger this problem..?

I am running the below DLC:

Sword of Islam
Legacy of rome
The republic
the old gods
sons of abraham
rajas of india
charlemagne
way of life

Win8.1, 16GB ram, NVIDIA GeForce GTX650.

Steps to reproduce:

- Load save file, start playing.
- resign to menu
- Load same file, start playing. as soon as the load is complete and I see the map, CTD.

Thats good, are you able to play normally now?

But whatever the problem with that save or the game it doesn't like to get reproduced easily, tried a bunch of times and never encountered a CTD.
Seems like this bug will hide in the shadows for a while longer

Thanks for trying, and yes I have been ABLE to play all the time, but I cannot load a game (evidently not all of the time though) without completelly shutting down the game first (if for any reason I did something stupid and want to go back to autosave or pre-DoW-save or something). This thread is about an anoyance and not a game breaker.

You can leave it in the shadows, I had a hope some other player could have told me what I could do differently, but lets leave it here then!
