I loaded my ongoing game today in which I'm helping Bohemia in a war against the theocracy of Germany, and suddenly army morale isn't dropping, resulting in neverending battles. Sometimes one side is losing a few troops at a time, sometimes both sides are - right now Germany has 4152 troops against Bohemia's 20k and they're killing five a day without losing any themselves (though this might be due to attrition; supply limit's only 10.7k).

I haven't made any settings/version/mod changes since playing normally yesterday. I've restarted the program, restarted the computer, then done a full clean reinstall of the game, none of which fixed it, but if I start a new game it seems to operate fine.

The Great Druidic Empire of Prydain - rose from a single Celtic faithful with no family in 867 to conquer and convert the entire British Isles and get a good start on the continent, only to be brought down by a morale bug? :)

Seems like a weird issue. Was this encountered in 2.3.6? Do you know it the same thing happens in 2.4.1? Do you have a save game of the situation when this happens?

I can't play 2.4.1 yet - it crashes on start up and I had to go back to 2.3.6, which was fine for a day or two more before this. I have two manual saves and the most recent autosave from that game (I'm 170 years in so didn't want to abandon it just yet). From more fiddling, it seems a new game with no mods is okay but with all my mods enabled isn't - I only have five so I'm going to go through them next to try and figure out which one or which combination is the trigger. Fingers crossed it's not Ancient Religions.... heh.

ETA: It's looking like it might be Cheaper Retinues. More importantly, while I was testing this the King of France set up an Anti-Pope named Pope Mark II, which is so wonderfully glorious I might just cry and I can't believe I didn't screenshot it.
