I received an event I hadn't seen before today. A province had some bandits events going on so I got an event that said "It's a trap!" and offered me the chance to hold an archery contest, use a disguise to try to trick him, or decide it is too risky and do nothing. As the deceitful option would give my character deceitful trait and the too risky option would give him craven trait I chose the archery contest. That contest had two options. I chose one the first time and it made the bandit leader supposedly get married in my court, so I have Robin and Marion in my court, but then in less than 6 months the "Its a trap" event happened again. That time I chose the second option to kill the bandit guy so I figured the event would end. Nope, I just received the "Its a trap" event for the third time in less than 6 months.

Here's another report where someone reported the bug in version 2.3.2:

https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...bin-hood-event-bug-back.830586/#post-18728671

I never got this event in version 2.3.3, so I don't know if it was fixed in that version and just came back or if I just never got lucky enough to end up with a bandit province.

This is something that has been broken for quite some time I'm afraid. But we got the issue reported in our internal bug database already, so it should get fixed as soon as possible.

Thanks for the report.

Another thing I might point out is that Robin and Marion don't have any "profession" trait. I've never seen that on any other characters in the game except children.

Witches that are brought into your court for trial and imprisoned (one of three options for sentencing) appear in your dungeon with no primary trait, but always start with "Ugly" as if that is the primary trait. And yes, it's pretty jarring to spot an adult with a bundle of traits but no primary trait.

The witch trial event that I'm referring to is tied to the "Way of Life" DLC when choosing the Rulership focus.

You are best off reporting this in a separate thread. Its not the same bug (its a bug with a separate event), and you can't count on QA to look back in threads where they have already dealt with the issue.

Either way both cases are WAD from memory especially the witches case. I know the Robin and Marion no education traits has been discussed in several bug reports already.

This is still an issue in 2.3.6. I thought the event chain was over after I recruited the Merry Men to be gamekeepers and had Robin/Marion get married and join my court. I believe it should have been.

But nope - several years later, the Merry Men are back robbing people, and when I went out to look for them, Little John smacked me down. :(

I saw the same thing when I was on an epic hunt - I befriended a fellow hunter and invited him to court, and when he arrived he only had the Hunter and Brave traits, no education.
