(2.3.4)Jewish high priesthood

Hi,
I play a CK2(Steam version 2.3.4) game as a jewish Character and restored the kingdom of David, I got the achievement and built the 3rd Temple, I got the pop up for the Temple to be finished. But I can´t restore the high priesthood! I have the gold and the piety and can´t click the button in the menu. I own all 5 holy sites, too. Plus I gave away the kingdom of Jerusalem and now I can´t revoke this title, every other kingdom is revokeable but this one doesn´t appear in the list of titles of the vassal.

I read in a steam forum, that this bug is known and was fixed, but it still appears for me.

To restore the priesthood you need to personally have Israel, so you need to get it back somehow to restore the priesthood.

Yes Iam certain, how do I upload a save file, those format (.ck) doesn´t appear in the file menu?

Tried that. Imprisoned the king and banished him, had the Title but still not working.

Are you using mods? The savegame won't even load for me.

No mods, its ironman. I don´t have the way of life, maybe thats the problem.

I'm having a similar problem. As best as I can tell, it's the old bug where the temple won't finish construction if your ruler dies before the event chain is finished. However from what's said above, I built the temple before having the Kingdom of Israel, although I have since created the title, could that be the reason the temple hasn't finished and I can't restore the priesthood?

I did a Charlemagne start as the Duke of Semien, currently running version 2.3.4 (FMNO). Current date is 1239 I think, no sunset invasion either but the Ilkhanate and Golden Horde have both successfully occurred. Crusades, Jihads and Great Pagan Holy Wars have all been called (Slavic paganism has reformed), all holy orders seem to have formed successfully.There has been a patch since the file was created, just the very latest I think as the game is only one or two weeks old.

Any help would be vastly appreciated, the last file I have from before I created Israel was around 1163, I'd rather not have to repeat 70 years of gameplay just to get the religious head I've managed 400 years without...

It's definitely situational, probably that old bug. I just tested it out myself, but I created Israel first. The event fired that the temple was finished and I took the decision to createa Kohen Gadol (or something like that) to rule Judaism.

According to various fora, all sorts of old bugs are still around, simply because people quote memories from months or years ago, or think their problem replicates an old bug when it isn't.

Is there a fix for this on Ironman? I'd really rather not have to play through 70 years again to get the priesthood, as that's the last time I made a backup of the save.

I attempted to load your save Schwarzherz, but it appears as if it's corrupted. That might be a contributing factor to your problems, potentially. Unfortunately there's nothing I can do without a working save to test.

As for your issue RougeSpear, that specific issue has been fixed for a few patches, but it's likely not fixed retroactively for old saves. You might have to restart from an earlier save.

I only began the playthrough two weeks ago, with all patches up to date at that point. Either it's not fixed or it's a different issue I'm having

I´ll try another round with a jewish ruler on ironman and see if this will work or if the bug is consistent. May take some time its pretty hard.

You'll need to take the date out the file name or it'll read as corrupted.
