I was looking at the history files for some of the Mamluk sultans are noticed at least one set of errors.

charid 32936, Qalawun, in egyptian_arabic.txt, line 1000-14:

Code:
32936 = {
	name="Qalawun"
	dynasty=762
	religion="sunni"
	culture="egyptian_arabic"
	trait="skilled_tactician"
	trait="brave"
	trait="cynical"
	1240.1.1={
		birth="1240.1.1"
	}
	1291.11.10={
		death="1291.11.10"
	}
}

The history files have him as sultan of egypt (k_egypt) from 1279.7.1 to 1291.11.09 (k_egypt.txt, line 93-98).

Errors:

Qalawun was not Egyptian; he was Turkish. ( http://books.google.com/books?id=cF...F-EfAn3iGjt2bUyy4#v=onepage&q=qalawun&f=false ). In fact, Qawalun barely spoke Arabic at all ( https://books.google.com/books?id=Y...epage&q=qawalun "barely spoke arabic"&f=false ).

Contrary to his history file Qalawun was not born in in 1240, but around 1222 ( https://books.google.com/books?id=X...a=X&ei=GZRDVe3VIYSZsAWo34CgAQ&ved=0CCIQ6AEwAQ and https://books.google.com/books?id=P...=0CCIQ6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q=qalawun 1222&f=false ).

Thanks Leo.

I meant to elaborate my post - it seems that the entire Bahri dynasty - the Mameluke sultans that ruled Egypt from 1250 to 1382 - is marked as Egyptian Arabic:

Code:
762 = {
    name="Bahri"
    culture = egyptian_arabic
}

(from 00_dynasties.txt, lines 4778-81)

when they should be Turkish ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bahri_dynasty ).

Actually they are of Turkish origin. But were they from Turkish culture too? Or did they adopt the Egypitan Arabic culture?

Yes... if you read the links I posted above, their refusal to adopt Arabic customs - even to speak Arabic - was an ongoing complaint of the Arabic nobility and chroniclers.
