Kicked off a game as the Tulunids, and everything was going smoothly until the Decadence chains seem to have fallen over. When I went to straighten up Prince Ridwan, he initially refused so I used my high intrigue stat to scare him into straightening up, then got an event pop up with missing character references in it, and no option to straighten him up.
The first three screenshots show the event (in each screenshot), and the wife (who objected to Ridwan's treatment) in the first, the religion tab in the second and Prince Ridwan in the third. The seventh screenshot is the only one I have of the second failed 'straighten up' attempt, where my character (a new character, after the old one died of old age) got the diplomatic option of 'I'm a better negotiator than this' prior to that screenshot popping up.
In the first instance Ridwan didn't have any land, in the second I'd given him a Wali to try and get his decadence down (this is my first Muslim playthrough, and I thought landing a character removed their decadence, but I'm not full bottle on the mechanic, so may have just been confused).
The other three screenshots (4th, 5th and 6th) relate to some oddness in pop-ups relating to regents when my original character became infirm. Not sure if related to what's happening in the event trees, but including just in case it helps
.
The forums won't let me upload the save file, but if it'd be helpful just let me know and I'll put it on Google drive and post a link. Good luck
. No rush on fixing on my account, just trying to help.
