Yes, this just happened. So a Crusade gets called for Prussia against a Romuva Chief/Duke. But his ally, a Christian Lithuanian joins at his side, which is weird in the first place, but then the guy gains the Crusader trait. Like what? You're defending heathens against God's will, but we like each other now because we participated in the Crusade, no matter that on opposite sides?! What is this madness? And while we are at it, I don't think Catholics even should be able to join Crusade on the other side...

The behavior of who gets and doesn't get the crusader/mujahid traits has changed a lot in the internal version, this issue is likely no longer present.

Christians joining on the opposite side of a crusade is WAD.
