Just a quick background.

Emperor of Hispania has lover that is vassal/queen of Navarra. Slander event leads to imprisonment. Escape Attempt event (her seduction focus event) fails and I throw her in oubliette. I then get the message that my lover has thrown me in oubliette. Emperor of Hispania gains "in the oubliette", including all penalties, but is not in prison.

thus, Throwing an imprisoned lover in oubliette, throws self in oubliette instead. Minor, and easy to avoid but figured I should put up a report.

hard for me to replicate as I need and event that leads to the oubliette choice to fire.

The event in question was her trying to seduce the gaoler, which led me to the choices of Oubliette or house arrest.

The issue has been reported many times and, more importantly, it has been acknowledged by Paradox QA. Also, your ruler is not actually in the oubliette, they merely have the negative modifiers associated with that status effect. I'm not implying that it's a trivial matter, but if your ruler were actually imprisoned by this event, that would be something rather different.
