'Baron' Abdul is the Sunni holder of a mosque in Baghdad. He somehow became the vassal of my Catholic emperor after winning the crusade for k_Syria.

I think it's possible that he was perhaps the vassal of one of the sheikhs who became unlanded as a result of the crusade. Nothing else comes to my mind. But that would still not explain attaching to my emperor, since the title of k_Syria has actually remained with the Caliph.

Speaking of which, is it WAD/correct that the title of k_Syria remained with the Caliph? It's usurpable since he owns nothing any more in that kingdom, but shouldn't it have been given to my emperor?

Side-effect: I can put my chaplain on a mission to convert Baghdad now.
