Hello,
I play CK II with all major DLCs including Way of life. As a count of Smyrna I started a faction to replace my current liege Strategos of Samos with his brother (whom I managed to betroth matrilinealy to my daughter). In my intrigue screen I get the option "Demand installation of Claimant". I click it and thus send my liege an ultimatum. The liege refuses, which should start a war. Except that it doesn't. Instead I get the option to "Demand installation of Claimant" AGAIN. Also, my personal screen shows that I have a CB "Claim Samos" stipulating that in the case of a victory, my claimant will become the ruler of the Samos Theme. Yet, when I try to declare war on my liege, the only war option is "Independence" with different set of results.
Now, is this an unfortunate consequence of any of the following...?
1. Samos is a theme and not a duchy
2. The liege, Strategos of Samos, is a minor and a regent governs instead of him
3. The claimant is a minor
In any case, it should be handled differently than with a repeating "Demand installation of Claimant" cycle, I believe.
