When I started the game, I held only the Kingdom of Lombardy. After conquering the territories of Serbia, Croatia and parts of Hungary, I went with the create empire intrigue option, and thus founded the Empire of Lombardy. A couple hundred years later, I finally managed to usurp the Byzantine Empire and create the Roman Empire, which meant I didn't really see a point in having the Empire of Lombardy title anymore, so I destroyed it. The problem is that apparently, there are no records whatsoever kept of those custom titles even in the save, which is... eh... weird or broken?

As you can see in the screenshot, the characters aren't even shown as Emperors in the dynasty tree because the title is gone entirely, it seems, and it doesn't even contribute prestige for the dynasty (that's the x9: +0.00).

Thanks for the report!
I'm unable to reproduce this, which leads me to believe that it's fixed internally.

For safetys sake though I'd better make sure, did your custom empire have any de jure territory?

Well, kinda, it did, but since it was my main title, all it's de jure territory was transfered to the Roman Empire when I created that through intrigue decision. So at the point when I destroyed it, it didn't have any de jure territory - it was back at being titular then (destroying it was in hindsight a bad plan but oh well...). :D
