It's probably not exactly a bug, but I don't think it should work this way.
I held the Kingdom of Lombardy, which is a cultural title - due to succession issues described in another thread, I handed it out as a Viceroyalty to a vassal duchess in de jure Lombardy. So far so good.
The problem is that somehow, the King of Sicily could claim the title, and he was Greek. And since he won that war, the "Since a Lombard no longer holds the title blah blah" event popped. This despite the title is a temporary viceroyalty and me (heir to it as his liege) was a Lombard. Not to mention only three provinces (Corsica, Arborea, Cagliari) was Italian.
I can't help but feel that it's broken that the title changes like that - especially as there's no way to revert back after it have happened. Frankly, a cultural title should look at the culture of the heir and the amount (percentage) of provinces in its' de jure territory that is that culture, before it decides the title is no longer that culture.
'Cause it sure don't seem fair that I lose my cultural title (since Kingdom of Lombardy became Kingdom of Italy) because a vassal King managed to conquer the viceroyalty title, while 90% of the de jure kingdom were still Lombard, and me as heir to the viceroyalty as well as liege to the guy, were still Lombard.
