So, another bugs thread from me. These happened literally in one session. I start a new campaign and in three hours, I've got "this" on my hands, so let's just dive into it. I'll post the pictures and explain the obvious problems:
2015_03_16_00001.jpg

- So, yeah the chaplain was obviously very convincing, because my 1 year old son saw the light and converted to Christianity
2015_03_16_00007.jpg

-We have a truce, he is revoking my title, I thought that was not possible. Also, I can just ignore it and move it in the corner of my screen and it will never fire. So yeah, that's an exploit.
2015_03_16_00008.jpg

-Hungary and the kingdom of Magyar split up after Arpád's death. Isn't the tribal one supposed to get destroyed?
2015_03_16_00002.jpg

2015_03_16_00003.jpg

2015_03_16_00004.jpg

I can declare a war on my liege for the claim I hold on her vassal (I am a vassal as well)? The war immediately ends inconclusively, says that the CB is no longer valid (No sh*t...)
2015_03_16_00009.jpg

2015_03_16_00010.jpg

This may not really be a bug, but it's none the less annoying. The regent loves me, but still she won't do any action because of "base reluctance", please Paradox I... Just don't, please stahp...

WAD. You can revoke titles during a truce, iff you have a claim.

-Hungary and the kingdom of Magyar split up after Arpád's death. Isn't the tribal one supposed to get destroyed?

Elective gavelkind? WAD.

I can declare a war on my liege for the claim I hold on her vassal (I am a vassal as well)? The war immediately ends inconclusively, says that the CB is no longer valid (No sh*t...)

The bug there appears to be something you have missed. You can press claims against your personal vassals, against your liege. The reason the war ends is because she controls no title you have a claim on.

This may not really be a bug, but it's none the less annoying. The regent loves me, but still she won't do any action because of "base reluctance", please Paradox I... Just don't, please stahp...

Currently WAD.

Please read the sticky threads and one thread per bug.

Elective gavelkind really? I very much doubt that the kingdom of Magyar is supposed to exist when you do the decision to form Hungary. So, you are saying i should spam the forum with 5 threads per every small bug I find? That seems kind of dumb to be honest, this is much more practical in my opinion. The one with revoking my titles, okay, but the window staying there forever is a bug. And with the regent, you can't tell me that that is working as possible?! Who designated it to be so unbelievably annoying?! I mean, when I am a strong character, who got struck to the head at the age of 20, and I live to be 70. 50 years of literally not being to do anything is extremely annoying and not-fun. Especially, when you gain a title by inheritance or something, but you can't even redistribute it, or marry your heir. If this is WAD, then it is surely wrongly designed.

It doesn't matter if you agree if something is WAD or not. If it is the case, that is the case. Yes if you have 5 bugs to report, you make 5 reports.

Elective gavelkind makes a new kingdom for younger brothers on succession. It is WAD, the kingdom could be Kingdom of Id, and it would still be WAD. Kingdom name is not relevent.

If you are incapable, obviously you should have very little control. The regent is to simulate that. But the response I gave you is the response you will get from QA.

Thanks for the reports!

Do not worry about 'spamming' the forum with bug reports, it's much easier for us to track what we've already looked at if there's one bug per thread.

1. Added to the internal database.
2. WAD
3. Already tracked internally.
4. Inconsistent CB selection added to the internal database.
5. Unfortunately WAD.

It doesn't matter if you agree if something is WAD or not.

The problem is that you and some other people use 'WAD' not in its proper meaning of 'working as designed' (i.e. it was designed to produce this kind of result) but rather 'working according to spec'.

Under standard definitions, a bug means weird operation of a piece of software. Legalistic, purposely narrow definitions are not used normally.

If you are incapable, obviously you should have very little control. The regent is to simulate that. But the response I gave you is the response you will get from QA.

The regent is to simulate lack of control but not inability/unwillingness of both the incapable ruler and the regent to do anything. Currently, the diplomatic variables for regents are set up so that Base Reluctance trumps most things, and this means that sometimes you win a crusade or something and are 70 titles above your demesne limit, which you can't distribute. And there is no rational way to define this sort of result as allegedly WAD, because it very obviously can't have been designed to work like this, to produce this result.

So yes, it works according to spec, but no, it does not work as designed.

5. Unfortunately WAD.

Please see my reply to Dracko above. I know that in the light of job distribution the QA team may have little to say about things that went wrong with the design, but at the end of the day 'quality assurance' does cover designflaws, and 'bug' too covers unintended/unexpected operation resulting from a flaw in design.

From Wiki's definition:

A software bug is an error, flaw, failure, or fault in a computer program or system that causes it to produce an incorrect or unexpected result, or to behave in unintended ways. Most bugs arise from mistakes and errors made by people in either a program's source code or its design (...)

This is why I feel compelled to object to this narrow treatment of 'bug' and wide treatment of 'WAD' specifically in this game/this forum. Those problems won't go away or become normal simply because of being redefined. This is not just my own sentiment, other people have brought it up too.
