So I had the event pop up for buying my wife one of the 3 horses, and chose the most expensive that makes her fall in love with you. It has led to a rather funky series of events...

It's treating my wife as if she is a mistress. I am apparently not only cheating on my wife with my wife, but I was also so angry about my wife cheating on me behind my back.... with me, that I have called off the love affair over the fact that she is cheating on me with me. :confused:

Only DLC I don't own is Way of Life... maybe that has something to do with it.

That any_lover check looks like it ought to skip this event if the lover is your wife (or more precisely if one of your lovers is your wife), but it apparently doesn't. WoL overrides this event so the fact we don't have it is clearly relevant.

I've personally replied to quite a few of these already, and I know that this issue's kind of got its own fanbase at this point and I'm sorry that there's not been a patch yet to implement any potential fix, but there's a lot of things in the development of the game to take into account at the moment. It's not always a case of having time. More often its a case of project planning. Hope that most of you can stick in it for just a bit :)

Ah. I was just coming to report this one, but looks like it is already covered.

(The problem seems to be that is_main_spouse only accepts boolean, so that is read as NOT = { is_main_spouse = no }, and therefore only fires for the spouse.)

I guess it's more difficult than adding an if/else instruction for a check to see if the lovers aren't married and make the 'adulterous' part of the dialogue conditional on failing the married check?

Or just stick with 2.2.1, as it does not include this "feature."
