This is probably not the way I planned to kick start my posting career after many years of harmless browsing but there's a little thing that's starting to really bug me and I was wondering if anyone else is in a similar situation.
I have version 2.2 for the Mac purchased through Steam with the following DLCs:
Legacy of Rome
The Old Gods
The Republic
Charlemagne
Sons of Abraham
I can't remember the exact order I got them in but I do know that I've just recently purchased Sons of Abraham in the last few days after Charlemagne which I got on the first day of release. Perhaps the purchase order matters, perhaps it doesn't.
Whenever I hover over the icon where it lists the de jure claims I can press, everything appears twice. The same happens when I click to see all the de jure kingdoms of an empire, counties of a duchy, etc (see screenshots). Everything's duplicated. The first time I noticed this was yesterday and I certainly can't remember seeing it before I bought Sons of Abraham (which nicely resolved my Religion crash, by the way) so is the issue in there? Is there even an issue?
I don't have any Mods installed, that was my first port of call. I only had the one Mod installed anyway which I created to rename Britannia to British Empire with a different coat of arms but I've removed that.
I've verified the integrity of the game cache more times than I can remember, deleted all my local files and reinstalled the game a couple of times as well as clearing out those two map cache files.
Would there be anywhere else the game is picking up these duplicates from?
I'm sorry if this has been posted and/or resolved elsewhere, I tried searching but it was a little tricky trying to enter search terms to describe this issue!
If you need any other logs or anything like that to narrow things down, just let me know.
