I've been playing stellaris since it was released. I've seen it's changes and i'd like to give my point of view.
First I wanted to say that stellaris is a amazing strategy but also complex. In the las additions (with megacorps) there were a lot of changes Some of them are good and others not as nice as before.
I will leave my suggestions:
- Tile System removed: Personally i find the new system more complex than before (harder at start when resources are too small to advace) but also makes the game more funny at endgame.
- AI is the mos affected point in that topic, most of cases AI does not knows how to handle population grow and when they grow they will divide into small empires because of unrest. It could be solved if AI sets pop control when housing limit is reached.
- AI loops: Personally, they are the hell, i've seen an AI 2 hours bombarding a planet in a war, they didn't anymore. I think bombardment is a bad choice for an AI (maybe create more army wold be a better choice?). That point is important but more important is the momment in wich crysis empire gets stuck in a logic loop.
- Also i noticed fallen empires doesn't builds anything in planets they are taking and thats a bug: I could conquer and trade them systems with +100 pops but removed districs and buildings so, their economy will become negative for several years. They will acept the trade or conquer these worlds anyway.
- Synthetic Dawn and now Megacorps adds new empires with new mechanics. Personally I think both are nice.
Greetings from a Stellaris fan and have a happy new year.
