I am playing as the Byzantine Empire. For the third time a close relative (one kinsman and two nephews) decided to prepare an adventure against me. The problem? They were all courtiers in my court.
So my nephew comes to me and says: "Hey uncle! Just so you know, in two years I am going to claim your empire, hire a huge army and I'm taking you down. What are you going to do about it
?"
I have him excommunicated and imprisoned (not executed since I don't want the kin-slayer trait) or assassinated (I have lots of friends in my court, or I can bring in a lot of friendly courtiers who love me).
I think that my nephew meant to leave town before giving me the bad news, rather than taking his chances in my court.
So here it is: the courtier planning an adventure against me should leave for a foreign court at the same time I get the adventure message. Not that I'm complaining, since it is easier to deal with a treacherous courtier in the capital.
