Old and a bit annoying bug. You can mark any character but your own as character of special interest, it will be displayed in list on right panel, you will receive mesagesthat concern him/her.
The bug: you can mark your heir as chracter of special interest. When your old character dies, the heir becomes you current character but is still listed on the right panel and you cannot unselect him/her (there is no mark/unmark button for your character) until he/she dies.
