On the latest beta build, one of my courtiers petitioned to become Steward, and I asked him to be patient. Then my Marshall died, and I appointed the same courtier Marshall (he was a talented fellow). Then a little while later I got an event firing saying "well, I've been patient, how about I become Steward?". I agreed, out of curiousity to see what it would do, and it fired the current steward, but left the courtier that wanted the job as Marshall. It's not so much a 'bug' as a design oddity, but it may be worth slipping something into the code to disable the second 'courtier wants advisor position' job firing if they've already been given a different advisor's position.

Not a biggy, just letting you know :).

Cheers for letting us know this, will try to see if I can reproduce this and get back to you about this.. but I agree that this is not WAD if that is the case.

Update: I was able to reproduce this and I can confirm it is a bug (especially since the tooltip even stated that he will get the new position on the council). I've now added it to the database and notified a programmer about the issue.
