Caught while fabricating a claim on his own title, my Chancellor retaliated by assassinating himself.

Maybe Chancellors fabricating titles against themselves should have a 0% chance of success along with a 0% chance of getting "caught".

The devs could disable sending the chancellor to his own county. That's what I just did in Lux Invicta. Either that or disable the caught/assassination chain if his own county.

Fabricating claims doesn't necessarily mean wanting to use them in wars, it can perhaps be done to have a chance in an election or anyway, but yeah, it should be disabled. Also improving relations with themselves — both chancellor and chaplain. And I've seen the marshal annoyed by the marshal's mustering of men ('noble intervenes').

Theoretically, if you don't own the county, it's probably possible for your spymaster imprison himself and go to his own jail.
