My ruler holds empire A. Daughter B holds kingdoms C (cognatic primogeniture) and D (cognatic gavelkind) within it, but holds no lands in kingdom D. Son E holds duchy F and county G within kingdom D, with vassal counts H and I.
Daughter B dies. Grandson J, eldest child of daughter B, inherits kingdom C. Granddaughter K, eldest daughter of daughter B, inherits kingdom C, usurps county G from son E, who loses duchy F due to no longer being landed. Counts H and I become independent.
I don't think this is WAD. Either granddaughter K should have usurped count H or I rather than son E, or the allegiance of H and I should have been transferred to granddaughter K, or duchy F should revert to the crown (either of kingdom D or empire A.)
This was in a mod, but since mods don't affect the mechanics of inheritance laws...
