Playing around with the new beta patch, it seems actively raiding is not enough action for Norse raiders raised by the marshal event:

Is this WAD? I've had this happen 2/2 times that my marshal has raised raiders. In this screenshot, all three of the event-raised raider armies have been merged, and then merged once more with my county levies.

No mods. This is without the Charlemagne DLC, but with all other gameplay DLCs excepting the Aztec invasion DLC.

Edit: I've just had the same thing happen with the army raised by a steward. Abandoning right after I had them fight another army while raiding. Even worse because it's a 50 prestige hit

I had same bug as tribal Catholic count, in Ireland. No screenshots, I just stopped playing and will start again after the fix, but seeing bug report I might as well add to it. I do have Charlemagne, so that's not the problem.

Same problem here. I had fully raided one county and then moved them to the next adjacent one... they decided to disband midway as they didn't like travelling for more than a few days.

Unless you have a military organizer and lots of adjacent raidable counties in a row with short travel time, the raiders will grow tired and leave. Right now they're nothing but a money-sink since they keep stealing gold as they disband. This makes forming your first kingdom difficult as a tribal pagan, you have to just go crazy warring and ransom as many people as you can. Right now I wish I could spend prestige to make custom kingdoms as pagans rather than gold since I've got tons of it - the new fixed gold value is rather high for the lack of money early game.

100% raiders (since raising anything else at this point in the game costs me more than raiding can get me).

Doesn't matter what culture or religion you play as - happens to me as pagans too. Raiders simply will not stick around no matter how much you raid.
