I have a few questions:

Re: the peace logic, it's my understanding that if a nation has an untouched army, they won't be amenable to peace terms. Also, if you crush them utterly, you can't demand everything because of a 100% cap (i.e., doing more pushes above 100, which they'd never accept).

Ummm no. Homewater sets your naval attrition to 0. As far as im concerned it won't work for occupied provinces, but only the OWNED provinces.

Yes. And that is the quid. IMHO now it work in OWNED and CONTROLLED provinces. Both conditions, not only owned.
There is another option. It changes owned by controlled. So you can control a province and automatically the coastal provinces become homewater

My computer is on service atm.:( So little NA or DV playing for me these days... I'm using my mom's computer right now and there I have a EU3 1.2 installation, so I DLed NA to this machine and patched it to 2.1. But something is not right. When I started a new game, the loading screen got all messy, then the map showed up, looking like it had met something very fast, very hard. And when I clicked on the map, I got a CTD.:( And my EU3 CD in in my apartment in the other side of the city...:(

Excellent news! I was tired of the Ottomans being able to force countries to release vassals simply because they were fifty times their size, and it sounds like force-vassalizing France, Ming or Russia are now in the past. :)

Thanks! Silly me, I thought that this feature was in EU3 already - whenever one of my provinces was occupied, I immediately removed my navies from its waters. :eek:o

Not sure if that would change anything, I think. You have to be within range to colonize it, not just to discover it. I think.

The problem was the minors finding out about a province due to the spread of discoveries and colonizing it without ever exploring. Reduce the discovery spread and you fix the problem.

Yes but I think, please correct me if I am wrong, that now when you occupy an enemy province your ships won't get the attrition free 'home waters' modifier when on coast of such province, which they used to get.

A minor issue that I discovered just minutes ago: why do all the provinces that are colonized or national have shipyards, when starting the game in 1650? The above screenshot illustrates this nicely BTW.

You probably need to reinstall the TOT mod. My oceans turned white when I first installed NA, so I'm guessing the new patch does the same thing.

Is it possible that EU3 has to be installed to C:\program...... instead of a self given directory?

Reinstall NA only. I had a problem with the register.
