To continue to ease the wait for MegaCorporatios and the changes they will bring, and in light of the fun we all had with the Ascension Perk Elimination thread, I thought I might blatantly rip it off and do a Civic trait elimination.

The same rules apply:
You may vote once per day
Each vote must upvote one civic +1 and downvote another civic -2

You upvote what you think is best and downvote what you think is worst.

"Best" at accomplishing the two following criteria:
Achieving Victory
Defeating the end-game crisis
(game assumes default settings)

All civics start with 12 points, when a civic gets 0 or less it is eliminated and can't be upvoted again.
(they start with less because there are more civics)

The best thing about Corporate Dominion that you can fully use all it early game benefits, get your free tech unlocks and switch it later for better late game civic.
- Start the game with building trade starbases with better energy production and space trading tech unlocked
- Build privite colony ships for energy, build starbases for minerals, when others have to choose/wait
Core sector thing is not needed at all in 2.1, so no need for Efficient Bureaucracy.

And all orange stuff is just my bet on worst civics!

The amount of unity Cutthroat Politics saves you in the late game is unreal when firing ambitions.

If you're already Spiritualist, you have all the ethics attraction you need before wasting a civic on Exalted Priesthood.

Free haven is...

I don't even know how it is. Migration mechanics are so obscure that you can't even know how good it is supposed to be.

Barbaric despoilers gives the adaptability tree, that is definitely worth a civic, and restricts less than FP or IP.

Inward Perfection gives you a large amount of unity and makes it easy to grow your pops.

Corvée System is useless, because the amount of energy it costs to resettle you pops is lower than your monthly energy and instead of taking this civic you could wait one month.

I'm not entirely certain what good immigration pull is for in the current build. In theory I guess it could increase your growth, but it's very difficult to tell the actual contribution.

Citizen Service though, it's clear what you get: A nice, solid 15% increase to your ship cap. I must say, one of the most straightfoward, non-game changing civis (like Inward Perfection or Fanatical Purifier is) available.

Barbaric Despoilers have the exact same problem as nihilistic acquisition plus everyone hates you from the start and it effects AI personality. It would easily be my favourite if the whole mechanic wasn't broken.

Feudal Society is also a broken mechanic but there are weird although complicated ways to make it almost viable. The hard part is dealing with your vassals being nerfed to the ground and blocking off your expansion.

Warrior culture affects armies, which are kinda meh.

Mechanist gives you extra starting techs, robots, and the robot upkeep decrease.

I'm actually going to vote for Purifiers, because it simply makes you SO powerful; as long as you have even a single neighbor to pounce on early, you can just run away with the game. Beat the crisis? You are the crisis.

Compared to EB, which is garbage.

Technocracy allows for cool beeline possibilities so it gets a plus from me.

Feudal Society just does not work being blocked by domination traditions. I've tried several attempts on early vassal games and all of them were terrible. For RP only.

Purifiers has a total war CB which will let you reach victory faster than any other civic on here.

Life-seeded is probably more bad than good - especially at achieving victory and/or defeating crisis.

I don't think I've ever actually used Beacon of Liberty. Slave Guilds is just great if you intend to go with slaves.

Enviromentalist is straight-up more minerals, whatever your playstyle, from day 1, regardless of mining tiles/pops.
By contrast police state doesn't give much. Pirates are a very minor annoyance and past the first 20 years, the risk drops to effectively zero. And there are plenty more ways to deal with unrest.

Beacon of Liberty is one of the few civics that increases unity gain. The only other non-gestalt one is Inward Perfection, which changes your playstyle dramatically. It's incredibly handy to have if you aren't going tall, since it helps compensate for the unity/territory imbalance.

Warrior culture is pretty lackluster, really. Army damage isn't exactly hard to come by, and can be easily stacked beyond what you actually need without this civic. The only cool thing about this civic is the fact that it changes the flavor text for your government type. RP only.

Life-Seeded is flavourful and fun, but not at all useful
