What it says in the title.

As a Persian character, you raise an army which shows LC model, it's the Western European Light Cavalry. The Persian Light Cavalry can't be the one. To be honest, I haven't seen the Persian LC yet, the picture in the OP shows clearly HC, because if that Cataphract is Light Cavalry, the Persian Heavy Cavalry must very heavy indeed.

You can test it by selecting for example a late Ghurid character, in 1180s and raise your personal levies (which are heavy in Light Cavalry). It's very Frankish.... The HC is fine, though.

Not a bug with the persian units.

The Ghurid armies in question are Afghan culture, and they did not use the Persian graphics, as they should. They're also supposed to use the horse archer model, which wasn't defined for the default muslim graphics, so the game fell back to using the western light cavalry model. Both issues will be fixed next patch. Thanks for letting us know. :)

Ok. But the there is also the "Arab" LC unit, and as the Afghan culture still uses the Arab graphics, they should've use the Arab LC sprite, not the Western one, if they were to use a LC model (and not HA for example - there is also an Arab HA model, after all).

No, the fallback if there's no definition is to use the western light cavalry model. If they had used the muslimgfx light cavalry model, we wouldn't have spotted this bug.
