2.1.3. Where are the Seljuks?

Is it just me (observation bias) or is there a problem with the Seljuks not appearing? I just realised after playing a few games that they have not appeared once. Only that other guy appears around 970 and that's it.

Can anyone else confirm this?

I have not seen them in my games either and normally I play with TOG start date and play at least until it is 1100

I had the Seljuks arrive in one of my games just the other day, might be that the save was started before v2.1.3, though. I'll look into it.

I've only tried two games at the old gods start from the most recent patch, but they arrived in both. I'm pretty sure they don't always arrive, not completely sure about that.

They appeared for me during a game to have both rajastan and Persia. They only had 60k troop versus my 30k and yeah I was basically tied for 1st in army size with the arab and ERE.

This was started in 2.1.3 and they've appeared in all of my 2.1.3 old gods start games.

Also in my current custom-ruler Karen game in 2.1.4:

He appears, but it seems that a lot of the times he just doesn't do anything (maybe he dies too soon? idk). Happened to both Seljuk and Timur in my last game.

I experienced the same in my recent game (started 2.1.3.). He seemed to have appeared in a court in Khiva and then just died some 10 years later. Also, he was reformed tengri, not sunni.

Seljuk always spawn with his liege's religion but he automatically becomes sunni if he's not muslim when he starts his adventure.

Ah, I wasn't aware of that. Never the less, in my game he just died after several years and never started his adventure.
