[2.1.2.1]Portraits Bug

Related to bug reported here but not quite the same.

Several characters have bugged portraits, while the face is ok, a second portion of the forehed and eyes appear on the bottom left corner of the same portrait. I'll try to take a screenshot when I find... how to do it.

I get the same bug, only with byzantine, iberian and italian characters...

You're right. Turns out that activating the mediterranean portraits DLC fixes the issue. Wich means that characters that are "genetically" (for the code) italian, iberian or greek have this issue.

The issue has to do with how graphics files for Western facial features are now compressed dimension-wise... and that there's a typo in the occitangfx entries in the portraits.gfx interface file.

It works, thanks! Now is Paradox turn to fix this problem in the next update.

It doesn't seem limited to any particular cultures for me. I get it on Jews, Greeks, Germans, whatever. And that's with all DLCs enabled.

As I've mentioned, the issue lies with the vanilla Western portraits, so any culture that references Western portraits will break--Iberians, Italians, Occitan, Jews, and Germans all use Western portraits.

The Greeks should only be affected if you're using a mod that changes it; the vanilla 2.1.2.1 Mediterranean DLC was NOT changed.

Yes, it took me no more than 2 minutes to fix, but that has to do with my relative familiarity with modding portraits. See my hotfix patch.

This is very annoying, it affects vanilla western and muslim faces alike. Please fix it as soon as possible together with the next upcoming patch (hopefully one to come soon).

Won't be able to check on my own machine until later -- any other updates on this? I can't use the vanilla portraits nod because it crashes my game, so I was hoping this would be fixed in the patch....

No, not fixed yet. This must be fixed soon. Please Paradox, prepare a new hotfix! (And do not forget about the missing retinue and cultural buildings for the Nubians!)

I did a complete re-install of the game and somehow the issue is gone. Dunno why.

Also, ahhheygao wasn't working for me, I had duplicated noses and eyes on my portraits.

I have this issue, as well as some people having Pinnochio noses and skinny people with "fat" cheeks, as well as people with eyes placed every so slightly too high.

Mostly on Western European faces.

I have all of the portrait dlcs (and all are enabled).

Give it a shot and use this to tide things over until PDS gets its act together.

My fix was initially meant for 2.1.2.1; PDS just "broke" portraits_mediterranean.gfx as well in 2.1.2 and 2.1.3, so that's why it didn't work for you.
