My first impression is so-so.
While the game is indeed running much faster and lag is often reduced, the AI is still horrible - I dare to say in some parts even worse than before...
I have steamrolled a completly undefended eastern front in Russia, since the AI had sent all troops towards the far east. That must not happen, really.
Apart from that I noticed a bug in the german decision chain - I did not reoccupy the Rhineland in 1936 and the decision was removed later, breaking all but the Anschluss decisions for Germany and also made it impossible for UK to form the allied alliance with Poland.
Plus I had several game crashes, but maybe this was just becasue my machine had a bad day, who knows...
