What do you think? We are currently using the nov 26, since we didnt like the morale changes of late, what do you guys think now?
Snif, morale importance has been severely watered down. All other factors being even morale can still win the day, but I think it is again advisable to go Quantity and Defesive instead of Quality and Offensive.

You can now toggle through your units in the same province by clicking on them again, like in HoI and vicky.

Oh, yes! I found that a bit aggravating, because I'd come back to play EU2 from the others and kept clicking the province to change the selected unit, then I'd remember, and go switch in the window. Thank you, Johan!

Well, I'm all for balance. You don't want it to be a no-brainer on whether or not to go for quality or quantity. Our group stuck with the Nov. 26 patch just because the changes seemed too drastic, and also because we all know, like, and understand that particular patch.

I think in the January 24 beta, the Swedes might have actually won the battle of Poltava (75 000 Russians versus Charles XII and 17 000 Swedes), and we all know that that shouldn't happen ;)

Glad to see there are still good feelings between Swedes and Finns.

That being said, I'd like to thank my favorite Swede, Johann, for his unmatched dedication to this, the greatest game of all time.

And for you Finns... my Nokia mobile phone has an annoying, unfixable dot on the screen. What the...

I'm sort of half of both, which equals as me being really quite neither... Thus I can look at the matter rather objectively, as objectivly as I can deem the situation concerning meself ;)

Actually.. a significant part of the losses were taken by Dalregementet... In which dozens of my ancestors have served and died over the ages.

Nice to see The Man himself commenting :)

Acording to Peter Englund (whose sources of course can be debated) the men from the "bushes" (a rather free translation of his words, I admit) where bearing the brunt of the losses (like the Åboregiment of cavalry and the other Finnish regiments, but also the Dalaregiment (which suffered horrendous losses) and other Swedish regiments from the "bushes"). In all it was one of the most bloodiest battles of the time, the Swedish army suffered 36% casualties and another 30% were taken captives.

It should be however noted that one of the most heroic regiments of the day was the Russian cavalry regiment who faced the Åboregiment. After a fierce assault both sides withdraw back and reformed their lines for the next charge: the Finns couldn't believe their eyes when the opposing Russian esqadron formed their lines -> six men forming two lines (as was required by the book), two men in the front line and four in the second line...

Is there gonna be an official 1.08 any time soon? I'm itching to mod, but I don't wanna do it until a new official patch comes out that incorporates some of the changes from the betas, like the new event commands.

I was going to tell you the exact date it would come out, then I read your signature,
I generally don't follow threads in which I post, so keep in mind that when you respond to my posts, you're most likely responding to a Xoxxon-shaped hole in cyberspace.
and decided people might get the wrong idea, if I was seen talking with a hole in cyberspace. :p :D

Regarding switching units: I find it confusing selecting units during sieges.
If there are two units and I select one (number and type shown by the cursor) I am actually choosing the other.

as well as russians suffered eneormously from hands of swedens all over the north, until poltava, last thing to figure out is who get more from it, as sweden went for inter developement when russia still have those useless imperialistic ambitions... :( ;)

Hey folks,
i'm using last beta patch with EEP 1.4.2 and perhaps i've found a little bug:
I'm playing as Castille and i've taken Apullia in war against naples. So a few years later i'm going to war with my ally Aragon agasinst Genua,Milan and Helvetica.
Genua attacked my troops in Apullia and after second try they won and now something silly happened... my troops want to go to Messina which is Aragon territory so far so good( they walk over water??? ;) ) but they never arrive!
I can't do anything with them though war is long over... i'cant send them back to Apullia or load them on ships!
What to do???

If i posted this on wrong thread put it to right place please! :D
