Thanks alot. I think maybe we can use those. After all any flag would just be an educated guess. Now can you convert them to game format? I don't know how hard this is.

Couldn't you make those flags more austere? We're talking megalithic totalitarian states here and the Eastasia flag looks downright pretty.
It must be pretty, those EastAsian workers have to be efficient and entertained....not everyone has a Big Brother

Edit: Before anyone asks, those "red things" are actually the three party slogans....I wanted to do them more artistic....besides this is the JPEG type....the BMP looks a little readable (which isn't actually quite a great thing, I like it more this way, strange, samizdat-like)
To prove this mod will become a reality some time later
The middle part is left for the menu....I can't find the file image of the loading screen...this is where I wanted to make the Orwellian page....

Well, they're not supposed to be evil and all-controlling. Big Brother is portrayed by every single bit of propaganda as being a great guy, and a great guy with an imposing flag would seem kind of incompatible. I think the flags should stay as they are.

An idea - Mabye the Slave States should be split into several minor powers, like India, a pan-Arab alliance of some sort, and a united African nation.
One other thing-if it hasn't been thought of already-: to make the slave states more conquest-worthy after they have been conquered by one power, make the provinces all have really high resource values, so they'll be drawn to the provinces like AI's to Styria in EU.
Of course this is the only way to go. It has been proposed (by me...well no, actually by Orwell ) and it is a good idea. Fat and happy Big Brother? No, let's put him to work...war and slavery

Orwell seems to believe, and I agree, that people tend to respect the proverbial firm hand - there's nothing warm and friendly about the image of Big Brother, his character is totally ambiguous but vaguely ominous - he may well not 'exist' - though Winston, with O'Brien's help, comes to realise that doesn't matter. But people love him AND fear him. Remember, Eastasia's ideology is supposed to be 'Death Worship'. How morbid do you want it?
It's not Death Worship, it's more closely translated as "the Obliteration of the Self." 2 different things.
Ok, that poster really freaked me out! And half of Oceania with me! Couldn't we find some other image? It looks like Darth Vader as Big Freakish Brother! I hoped to see a simple man, with a benevolent look, a quite nice guy!! Not a Helmet Creepo!
Well actually thats a "real" poster for 1984. In the first chapter winston says that he saw a poster that said "He's watching you." And described it like the above poster. Sorry. No where in 1984 does he descibe a poster showing big brother in a benevolent poster or a nice guy or anything you have mentioned.
