For the leaders of the 3 nations, why not have Big Brother but just translated? Oceania=Big Brother. Eurasia=whatever Big Brother is in Russian. Eastasia=whatever Big Brother is in Japanese/Chinese.
In EastAsia, he must seem more like a grandfather and in Eurasia, a kind of uncle....like in communism (think Coreea and China / USSR and Romania)

Uncle is Djadja in russian. I don't know what Big Brother is, but Big is Bolshoy and Brother is Brat.
It's probably impossible, but having the date change on certain events would be incredibly cool. Imagine happily playing along, (say it's march 5 1984) and an event tells you that Big Brother (or corresponding dictator) assured the people that in a month your glorious army will take a province somewhere. You play along for some six months and take that province. Suddenly it's april 5 1984, so that Big Brother gets the prediction right... I seem to remember a reference to something like this in the book.

Yes, it is hinted that it may have. Although the usual rewrite of history in the novel involves just changing the prediction itself.

I'm still here! Working away. I got blind sided by finishing up the New Roman Empire Events (plug plug plug) but I'm back on the case with 1984!
Just to let you know, the Ministry Program idea works perfectly. I'm going to post all the current programs that are applicable and maybe we can get some input on names for them. I got a number done but creating generic sounding 1984 names gets tedious.
I can't believe I'm only a sergeant? How many posts until I'm an officer, eh? I've been on these pages (lurking without a membership) from the very beginning when they announced HoI. I should be promoted immediately to Reichsmarshal! Or maybe Marshal of Italy.

You've got a way to go. 800 is Colonel, and 1200 is Lt. General. I forget General, but 2500 is Field Marshal.
