Don't you think there has to be a 1984 scenario , with 3 superstates : Oceania , Eurasia & Eastasia . For those who don't know the story the details are here .

Well, I know from experience that simply suggesting an idea wont get a bunch of people to sign up in the majority of cases...you are gonna have to do 99% of the work yourself [cut]

When I first proposed a turtledove mod I got virtually no interest but as soon as I made th mod and released it...wham....plenty of interest.

A time ago, someone started to mod such a scenario... I'll see if I find the thread and if something was released later on.

what i would enjoy is a REAL 1984 campaign - Soviets trying to keep the lands going - china rising.....iran irak....cuba.....nevermind the "1984" nay the historical 1980 to 2005? or 2003...now that would be fun

Every few months someone suggests this. Then someone points out that having a world war with three superstates wouldn't be fun for X reasons, someone else shoots back that it would be for Y reasons, someone else says that HOI2 is the wrong engine for the geopolitical situation of 1984 for Z reasons, and no work is ever done.
