1948 Unplayable

Hello, I found this game very funny. But there is a big problem, after year 1947 the games becomes completely unplayable and it runs like 1 FPS, so I have to pause every time when I want to move troops or something like that. I'm playing with my friend multiplayer and we would like to play longer than 11 years.

HOI has got big potential to be great game but this annoys me so much. Computer is not the problem, GTX 970 i5-4590 8GB RAM. I heard that the Clausewitz supports just 1 core, I think it's dumb but could be true, if somebody knows more you can tell . I hope developers are working to improve that, I really appreciate the new focus trees and so on, but better optimalization would be great.

My computer isn't very good but I can play well past 1950 without issue, well, unless I'm playing MAX speed.

Maybe it's a different issue?

Same here, I've played way past 50', most of the time, no issues. But every now and then I have to go to 3 or 4 speed. My PC is closely matched to yours.
