1936 Naval OOB (AKA Navy Suggestions)

Suggestions for the navies...

I am going to start doing a comparison on navies and ships for many minor nations - on the line of the naval OoB suggestions I have made before.

I was thinking like this:

Destroyer type 0 = old torpedo boats, old destroyers (ww1 vintage)

Destroyer type 1 = modern destroyers

Destroyer type 2 = destroyer leaders

Cruiser type 0 = old light cruiser

Cruiser type 1 = modern light cruiser, old heavy cruiser, old coastal defence ships, monitors

Cruiser type 2 = modern heavy cruiser, small modern coastal defence ships

Pre-dreadnough battleship = old coastal defence ships, pre-dreadnought battleships

Will look more into the various battleship types and make suggestions. Few minor nations had any real I might suggest more AA, NA or GD or lowered of the same for some ships

Many of the minor nations navies are a bit under-powered. I will also make tech addition suggestions, as some nations had extensive warf and shipbuildign capactiy (Sweden, the Netherlands and Spain, for example).

I'll also try to make a list for the different levels of cruisers classes for the different minor nations.

sucsefull at small countries, but fucked up on italy... got mad....uninstalled hoi and reinstalled 5 min later... downloaded new core and decinded to wait for 1.06....ill guess ill never be a programmer......

We are working on Japan rigth now, actually. Then the US, I guess, then the easy ones.

Vulture, we have a suggestion regarding tech - please rename the 150mm+ battleship gun 305mm+

1. 150mm on a battleship is stupid.
2. Pre-dreadnoughts (which you need no gun tech to build) had 280mm standard.
3. Dreadnoughts (level 1 ships, which you need a gun tech to build) usually had 305mm guns.

It will be more realistic, look better (305mm, 350mm, 400mm instead of 150mm, 350mm, 400mm) and feel better.

Btw, as I can see it there is no 150mm+ Battleship Gun tech..

EDIT... Oh sorry, you mean the Battleship itself Basic Battleship 150mm+ to Basic Battleship 350mm+.

knm precifix

the precifix for the royal norwegian navy ships knm was not in use in 1936.
it was approved by the king in 1946, after the war...
but it seems like it was in use by the navy already in 1940/41 after the fall of norway,

So what should be used?

i guess you cant change names of the norwegian warships in 1940

if the ships have the knm precifix, it would not be historical accurate before 1940.

if the ships are without the precifix it woul not be historical accurate after 1940.

i vote for the precifix
(but im not objective )
