I love seeing Italy thrive in this game!

Thanks for the high praise. I admit that I could have(should have??) waited on the carriers, BUT I love naval warfare. Have to have some no matter who I play. Honestly, I can quickly get bored with a strictly land based campaign which is why I rarely play the USSR and mostly play the USA.

I had two things going for me here. 1) I went ahistorical and took Spain early. This saved me from a crushing loss of 50 supplies/day. That is the #1 reason I attacked Spain.
2) The second thing going for me is that allow the sale and purchase of blue prints between non-allies. This gives me tons of cash as I sell to various minors, neutrals, and especially future Axis members. It also lets me get naval and naval doctrine BPs from Japan.

I don't know about crippling. I am tying down a significant number of divisions though. Finland has already been beaten and is now a Soviet puppet. I have Baku and I am slowly closing in on Stalingrad, I keep trying to get military access from Japan so I can take Vladivostok. Since Germany took all of the minor troops as exp forces, they have to do most of the heavy lifting. It is Oct 31, so winter is here. We will have to wait and see what effect that has.

This brings you up to date 10/30/41. With the Raj out of the war, Italy will no focus on gaining Stalingrad and possibly either Sverdlovosk or Vladivostok.

Italy has the most Carriers! Remarkable. Though, overall my navy is nowhere near the strongest.
Is Mare Leone a possibility? Hmm......

All of your puppeting is interesting, to say the least.

I basically have to puppet. Italy and Japan share a weakness in that their limited ic base also limits available tc. I don't need anymore negative modifiers. Thanks to all my cash, I can buy off the dissenters with roads, bridges, jobs and research grants.
