1914 Scenario Peace Event issues

Was playing a hands off 1914 game, and noticed that Austria-Hungary signed a peace treaty that broke them up into a number of independent nations, but they still remained at war with France and was eventually annexed. Likewise, Germany just signed the Treaty of Versailles, Poland was given independence, yet Germany still remains at war with the Entente.
