First of all I would like to congratulate the DH team for a magnificent game. This is how a good game should look like. After getting DH I was more than anxious to start the 1914 scenario and play it all the way till 1964, but to my unpleasant suprise, it ends in 1920! It is my personal hope that in a next patch this may be changed and have the possibility to play a real grand campaign.

Second, I started the game as Serbia with the intention to survive the war and after the victory (thanks to Russia, Italy and Romania) form Greater Serbia. But the chain of events actually changed me to the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, which I intentionally wanted to avoid. Wouldn't it make sense to at least give Serbia an event with the possibility either to expand as Serbia or to form the south Slavic Kingdom?

1. You can edit the save and change the end date.
2. You can select as scenario end date to 28 years when you start one. What that means is you can play for 28 years, though not until 1964.

I hope I helped.

Thanks for the tips. However, I would also like to ask whether the leaders will be changing in 1920-1935 period accordingly, and whether some 1936 events will fire?

I had a weird hands-off game yestarday. Basically, the war was between Germany+ A-H versus Russia, Serbia (and Montenegro). Italy (and Albania) attacked A-H later. So, what happened:

1.A-H captures Serbia and Montenegro
2.A-H collapsed, Czechoslovakia joins France, Hungary simpy breaks away, Serbia breaks away and forms Kingdom of SCaS
3.Italy defeats and conquers Austria
4.Now the war between Russia, Germany and Italy drags on until around 1925
5.Czar abdicates, Lvov(?) comes to power.
6.Russia makes a push, defeats Germany after a revolution and flag-change. Kerensky comes to power around this time.
7. And the best part: Peace of Versallies triggers, FRANCE imposes harsh terms on Germany(withour firing a single shot).

Btw. China doesn't go into warlordish chaos. Is it even supposed to?

well atleast the 1936 campaign is fantastic! I'm really looking forward to ai being fixed in the WWI scenario. Today I had a game where germany invades france through switzerland. all went well, germany got bogged down at Zurich (as would probably be historical due to harsh terrain) and I even saw them launch an offensive in alsace-lorraine, but then weird stuff started going down in 1916. Italy joined the war and absolutely pulverized germany and austria-hungary due to lack of central powers forces in the alpes (needs fixing) and then once the central powers surrendered (Austria broke up, Germany becomes liberal etc.) about a week later germany declares war on switzerland again and then after I cheat peace with them they do it again instantly. Kinda weird.

Basically in my eyes for the next patch in the 1914 scenario:
-German AI needs to be fixed. Start off the war with a massive offensive push, then slowly peter down until like it is at this stage constantly, occasionally launching small offensives.
-I think italy is a bit overpowered
-I think you guys need to make it more likely for the war to turn out historically while leaving ahistorical paths a nice surprise on occasional games (this is easily fixed with option ai chance in event files) I reckon 70-75% of the time the war needs to begin historically i.e. using the scheiifenlnenjnfjdazfn whatever its called plan XD but then allowing more ahistorical divergances from there?
