1877-78 Russo-Turkish War & Romanian Unification

Hi,

Does this war even exist in the game? (I am playing Ricky) and have had it for a couple of weeks now, but whenever I reach 1877 nothing happens and no war occurs. This leaves Serbia as a satellite of the Ottomans & no Bulgarian state.

Secondly, how do Wallachia & Moldavia unite to form Romania? In my games they just stay as satellites of the Ottomans, even past 1900.

Well about Romania. Historically it was created in 1859 as a personal union when the electors of Wallachia and Moldavia choose both the same prince, and in 1878 (with the treaty of Berlin, after the Russian-Ottoman war) it was recognized as an independent state by the great powers.

But in vanilla Rev, there are no events for this. There are only two ways in which Romania appears ( I think)

-If Russia gains Bucuresti it can create Romania (the ai won't do this normally)
-If the Ottoman Empire owns enough provinces in Romania it will create Romania as a vassal-state.

Sadly there are also no events for the Russian-Ottoman War of 1876-1877 in vanilla.

If you want these events to happen in-game you could install the VIP-mod which includes the war and the creation of Romania. This mod comes also with other historical events
