Do we play a game that allows alternative history? Like for example England not going Anglican or Bohemia becoming Husite?Enjoy having protestantism spawn in 1480, before Martin Luther is even born
We do!Do we play a game that allows alternative history? Like for example England not going Anglican or Bohemia becoming Husite?
It really should be a highly weighted mtth event with both reform desire and yearAt this point this is beyond ridiculous View attachment 643930

this idea that a valid response to bad game mechanics is "just roleplay/just work around it" is so complacent that it's patheticOf course there is. You might have a sequency of awful popes plus lollards.
Roleplay a bit.

Hey, trade didn't flow exclusively to Europe in real life. It´s realistic in the kind of sandbox game EU 4 is.
In the Emperor patch, 1480 is already one of the later dates. I usually see it spawn somewhere between 1465 and 1485.Enjoy having protestantism spawn in 1480, before Martin Luther is even born
Oh I've seen them go Hussite. It's rare but they definitely choose it.Is AI-controlled Bohemia allowed to go Hussite at all though?
I've thought about this for some time, and a solution might be easier than it sounds: Swap colonialism and printing press, and make age of Reformation start after printing press has started. Then, during the age of Reformation, the protestant reformation can happen. This way, you make sure that you can enjoy the age of discovery, as well as not painting the religious map blue. It even makes more sense, as the printing press was invented before the reformation (in fact, it was the main vehicle to spread it). Colonialism seems too early to spawn in the 1500s, so this change also makes sense.
