To make this even more painful...
In a charlemegne start as the Duke of the Isle of mann I joined a crusade and got given the kingdom of aquitaine in about 908. Before I got given it i had half of Ireland, dutchies of Kent and lancaster. Now there's a purple spattering around Britain.

Playing in Acquitaine is like my fourth favorite start. But that's cuz I really Toulouse.

I can do that, but won't as I'm still running gavalkind and don't want to split the nation in two king tiers.
My 70 year old ruler who made all this possible just died (after I dumped my secondary heirs into bishoprics) and his primary heir is 50 something with two underage sons.
I've just got late administration and will have to wait 10 years (I've only just turned feudal too) till I can change the succession law. Then I will create Eire and dejure claim the rest of Ireland.
Then it'll be green, but I would prefer red or blue! So next I'll have to conquer pictland or form England.
