Yes, still, I beleive they shouldn't get rid of 800x600 altogether like they did in Victoria. Paradox should work on creating all known resolutions between 800x600 and 1600x1200 for HoI II.

I think that Vicky would have been much better with a lower resolution setting (or a further zoom in). Some of the provinces were too small for larger resolutions (assuming you don't own a 21" flatscreen). I hope that if they sub-divide any provinces in Europe (or add more islands) that they include a resolutio/zoom for people with smaller monitors.

I think its time they had a fluid zoom system. Not the quantised 4 zoom levels currently available.

You know, what I hope for is that they keep in the highest zoom level (the one that allowed you to see the entire world) that was for some bizarre reason only ever implemented in HOI and in none of the other Paradox games. It's really nice to occasionally just pause the game and evaluate your conquests from that perspective. I missed this option sorely in EU2 and Victoria.

Technically, it is in Vicky. But it hardly ever works for me. I need to wait until the game is saving to press --- a bunch of times. The computer then reads them all and I get the furthest zoom. Kinda sucks but its better than nothing.

Yes, would indeed be nice. On my 19 inch CRT I now use the highest resolution available, but 1600x1200 would be very nice . I was a bit dissapointed when I noticed that Crusader Kings only supports 1024x786, not even 1280x1024 anymore, I hope HoI2 will be more flexible from that point of view.
